welcome!
We firmly believe that good physical, mental and spiritual health is critical to quality of life and longevity. Of course, acquiring and maintaining good health requires commitment and discipline. It also entails making good decisions.
SWAN is here to help. The notion that “knowledge is power” is the driving force behind SWAN’s Know Your Numbers campaign, a program designed to measure individual baseline health. Knowing and understanding your numbers is the first step on the road to better health. Additionally, SWAN is committed to supporting and bolstering new and existing healthy living activities and events in Valdez. Foremost of those is the Healthier You Competition, a fun opportunity to make a positive change to your health.
Start making healthy decisions today. For example, walk or ride your bike to work instead of driving. Do yoga. Attend a musical production or play. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Turn off the TV and read a book. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Drink more water. The possibilities are endless! Get up, get out, and do something today for better health tomorrow. Here’s to a healthier Valdez!
