VALDEZ COMMUNITY GARDEN
In the spring of 2016, SWAN partnered with the Valdez Community Garden Association to establish a garden near the Providence Medical Center and the Valdez Senior Center. Garden plots were made available to all Valdez residents interested in growing fresh vegetables and developing community relationships with fellow gardeners. In it's second year the community garden continues its popularity and sustainabliliyty via plot rentals and local support.
